Eurovision singer Akylas to make theater debut in Madagascar musical

The artist announced via his record label and social media channels that he will temporarily suspend his live concert performances to pursue a new acting challenge.

Akylas has been cast in the role of King Julien for the upcoming production of "Madagascar The Musical," which is based on the popular DreamWorks animated film. The production is scheduled to premiere on December 18, 2026, at the West Side Theater within the Peristeri Exhibition Center. Producers believe the role of the energetic and eccentric King Julien is a natural fit for the performer's stage presence.
