Minor arrested for vehicle theft from a Larnaca car wash

A 43-year-old man reported the theft of his vehicle to the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. According to the complaint, the car was stolen the previous day, Tuesday, September 15, while it was left at a local car wash. Following an investigation, authorities issued judicial arrest warrants for two individuals suspected of involvement in the incident.

On Saturday evening, September 19, around 7:30 p.m., members of the Larnaca Bicycle Police unit successfully located and apprehended one of the two suspects. The detained individual is a minor. The minor appeared before the Larnaca District Court on Sunday, where a five-day remand order was issued against him to facilitate ongoing investigations.

Police are continuing their efforts to locate and arrest the second suspect involved in the case. The Larnaca CID remains in charge of the investigation as authorities seek to recover the stolen vehicle and determine the full details of the crime.
