Minor arrested for vehicle theft in Larnaca as search for accomplice continues

A minor was arrested in Larnaca on September 19, 2026, by bicycle-mounted police in connection with the theft of a vehicle from a local car wash. The incident was reported to the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on September 16 by a 43-year-old victim, who stated that his vehicle had been stolen the previous day, September 15. Following the complaint, authorities issued arrest warrants for two individuals suspected of involvement.

Upon his appearance before the Larnaca District Court, the arrested minor was remanded in custody for five days to facilitate the ongoing investigation. Police have identified the second wanted suspect as 18-year-old Yahia Al Liddawi, who is being sought for a series of offenses, including conspiracy, theft, malicious damage, and driving without a license or insurance.
