Greece announces national team squad for upcoming Nations League matches

Greek national team coach Ivan Jovanovic has announced the squad for four upcoming Nations League matches, featuring several personnel changes due to injuries and fitness concerns. The team faces a demanding schedule, starting with an away game against Serbia on September 24 and a visit to Germany on September 27. The campaign continues in October with a home match against the Netherlands on October 1 and a final home fixture against Germany on October 4.

Notable exclusions include captain Tasos Bakasetas, who was deemed not yet ready to return, and Lazaros Rota, who was left out due to a late-reported injury. To address these gaps, Jovanovic called up Thanasis Androutsos to replace Bakasetas and Manolis Saliakas in place of Rota. Additionally, Georgios Kyriakopoulos replaced the injured Dimitris Giannoulis, and Giannis Michailidis was selected instead of Pantelis Hatzidiakos. The updated squad includes goalkeepers Vlachodimos, Mandas, and Tzolakis, along with a broad selection of defenders, midfielders, and forwards, such as Ioannidis, Pavlidis, and Douvikas, to navigate the dense four-game stretch.
