Tensions escalate as Iran warns of retaliation against US military actions

Following US and Israeli strikes against Iran that began in late February 2026, the Iranian military and government have issued stern warnings regarding potential new aggression. Tehran claims to possess intelligence that Washington, supported by regional allies, is planning further military operations.
