16-year-old student dies in motorcycle accident in Argaka
On the afternoon of Sunday, September 20, 2026, a 16-year-old student named Giorgos Hatziioannou from Agia Marina was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash in Argaka, Paphos district. The teenager was riding an unregistered racing motorcycle west along Archbishop Makarios III Avenue when he lost control, struck the sidewalk, and subsequently hit an Electricity Authority of Cyprus pole.
