Four arrested in Limassol following series of attacks on food delivery drivers

Police in Limassol have arrested four individuals, including three minors aged 16 and 17, and an 18-year-old, following a series of assaults on food delivery riders on Sunday night. At approximately 8:25 p.m. in the Potamos Germasogeias area, a group of about ten people reportedly attacked a 26-year-old delivery worker with clubs and stones. The attackers stole his motorcycle, wallet, mobile phone, and approximately 100 euros in cash before fleeing.

Following the robbery, police units observed the group attempting to target another delivery driver in the area. Officers successfully intervened, leading to the arrest of the four suspects. During the search, authorities found a bank card on one of the 16-year-olds and a device capable of discharging harmful gas on the 18-year-old. The detainees are expected to appear before the Limassol district court on Monday to face remand hearings.

Authorities are currently investigating whether these suspects are linked to a separate, earlier assault on a delivery driver in an eastern village of Limassol. Investigations remain ongoing to identify other potential participants involved in the incidents.
