Four minors arrested after string of robberies targeting food delivery workers in Limassol

Police in Limassol have arrested four minors, aged 16 to 18, in connection with a series of robberies and assaults targeting foreign delivery workers on the night of September 20, 2026. The initial incident occurred in the Germasogeia area around 8:25 p.m., where a 26-year-old delivery driver was forced to stop by a group of approximately ten individuals. The assailants attacked the victim with sticks and stones before stealing his motorcycle, wallet, mobile phone, and approximately 100 euros in cash.

Following the first robbery, authorities from the Crime Prevention Unit (OPE) and the Special Motorized Action Unit (MMAD) patrolled the area. They spotted a group of youths attempting to attack another delivery driver, who managed to escape. A pursuit ensued, leading to the interception and arrest of four suspects. Upon searching the detainees, police recovered a bank card belonging to the first victim from one of the 16-year-old suspects. Law enforcement is currently investigating whether the group is responsible for a second reported attack in an eastern Limassol village where no items were stolen. The investigation is ongoing to identify other potential accomplices.
