Recent wave of arrests for crime and violence in Limassol and Paphos

Law enforcement in Cyprus has conducted multiple arrests across Limassol and Paphos in recent days. In Limassol, four youths aged 16 to 18 were remanded for five days following an attack and robbery targeting a food delivery driver in Germasogeia on September 20. Additionally, a 34-year-old man wanted for domestic violence was arrested on September 23 after a high-speed chase in the New Port area, during which he collided with a police vehicle, struck an officer, and forced police to fire warning shots. He was subsequently remanded for seven days.

In separate operations on September 23 and 24, a 26-year-old was arrested in Limassol for burglary and illegal possession of property. Meanwhile, in Paphos, a 54-year-old was apprehended while allegedly attempting to steal plumbing equipment worth 6,000 euros from an unoccupied apartment building, with damage to the property totaling another 6,000 euros. The accomplice in the Paphos case remains at large, and all investigations are currently ongoing as the suspects await further court appearances.
