Open House Festival 2026 to take place in Limassol

The 17th edition of the Open House Festival, an international contemporary dance and performance event organized by Dance House Lemesos, is scheduled to take place in the center of Limassol from October 2 to 4, 2026. The festival aims to engage the city through a three-day program featuring artists from both Cyprus and abroad, focusing on choreographic works that explore themes of memory, political reality, identity, and collective experience.

The event kicks off on Friday, October 2, at 19:30 with opening drinks and music by Kalaqs at the Rialto Theatre Bar. The performance program officially begins at 20:30 inside the Rialto Theatre with the piece 'Slamming' by Greek choreographer Xenia Koghilaki. This performance is described as an adrenaline-fueled ritual inspired by the anarchic behavior observed in punk rock concert crowds, utilizing the physical body as a primary site of resistance and transformation. The festival continues throughout the weekend, utilizing various spaces across the city to present diverse artistic perspectives.
