Man confesses to murdering 25-year-old woman in Igoumenitsa

A 27-year-old man has confessed to killing his 25-year-old partner on a bicycle path in Igoumenitsa, Greece, on the evening of Sunday, September 20, 2026. The suspect initially contacted authorities claiming that both he and the victim had been attacked by four masked strangers. However, police investigators quickly identified contradictions in his statement, leading to his verbal confession that he killed the woman following an argument, stating, "we fought and I blacked out.

Medical examinations revealed that the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to her body, including fatal neck injuries.
