Two minors die in separate incidents in the Larissa region

Over the weekend of September 19-20, 2026, two tragic deaths of minors occurred in the Larissa region of Greece. On Saturday evening, a 14-year-old boy was found hanged in his home in Charavgi after his parents had left him alone for two hours. Despite the arrival of an ambulance crew, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Separately, on the evening of Sunday, September 20, a 15-year-old boy died in Karitsa, Larissa, after suddenly collapsing due to health complications. Emergency response was delayed as the nearest mobile units from Agia and Gonnoi health centers were already transporting other patients to hospitals in Larissa. Attempts to locate a local doctor or a defibrillator in the coastal area were unsuccessful. Investigations into the exact causes of death for both incidents are currently ongoing.
