Peyia-Akamas Ladies FC officially launched in Paphos

The Peyia-Akamas Ladies FC has been officially established as a new professional football club in the Paphos district of Cyprus. Led by President and Football Director Charis Arkadiou, the organization aims to promote female participation in professional sports and foster athletic development for players within the Peyia and Akamas municipalities. The club is designed to be a competitive and sustainable entity within the regional sports landscape.

The team is based at the Peyia Municipal Stadium, which will serve as the hub for its training and operations. The club is set to compete in the Cyprus Women’s First Division Championship. The inaugural competitive match in the history of the organization is scheduled for October 3, 2026, when the team will host APOEL Ladies FC at their home stadium. This initiative represents a significant effort to strengthen the local athletic structure and create new professional pathways for female athletes in the Paphos area.
