Nicosia Municipality deploys drones to combat mosquito breeding

Additionally, officials systematically monitor potential breeding grounds such as abandoned swimming pools and lift pits. According to municipal data, approximately 60% of resident complaints are linked to breeding sites on private or neighboring properties, prompting a call for citizens to monitor their own outdoor areas.
