Vladimiros Tziortzis remains a championship contender after NASCAR Euro Series semi-finals

Cypriot racing driver Vladimiros Tziortzis secured a podium finish during the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series semi-finals, held at the Vallelunga circuit in Rome over the weekend of September 19-20. Tziortzis placed third in the first race of the Open category, marking his second podium of the season following a similar result at the Paul Ricard circuit in France last May. In the second race of the Open category, he finished fifth, while in the V8GP class, he recorded 10th and 12th place finishes.

With double points awarded during the semi-finals, Tziortzis is currently 5th in the overall standings for the Open category among 30 competitors, trailing the third position by 11 points. He also maintains a spot in the top ten of the V8GP category, ranking 9th out of 34 drivers. The driver expressed satisfaction with his team's performance under challenging conditions.

The championship concludes with the upcoming finals scheduled for mid-October in Belgium, where double points will again be in effect. Tziortzis remains officially in contention for the title in both the Open and V8GP categories as he prepares for the final stage of the season.
