Vladimiros Tziortzis secures podium finish at NASCAR Euro Series semi-finals

Cypriot racing driver Vladimiros Tziortzis achieved his second podium finish of the 2026 season during the NASCAR Euro Series semi-finals held at the Vallelunga circuit in Rome, Italy, over the weekend of September 19-20. Tziortzis secured third place in the first race of the OPEN category, building on his previous third-place finish at the Paul Ricard circuit in France this past May. In the remaining sessions, he placed fifth in the second OPEN race, while recording 10th and 12th positions in the V8GP class.

The event was critical for the championship standings as points were doubled, a rule that will also apply to the upcoming finals. Tziortzis currently ranks 5th out of 30 competitors in the OPEN category, trailing the third-place driver by 11 points, and holds 9th place out of 34 drivers in the V8GP category. Despite the challenges faced at the Rome circuit, the team remains in contention for the championship titles in both classes. The season concludes with the finals scheduled to take place in Belgium in mid-October.
