Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority holds annual meeting with training centers

The Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority (AnAD) held its annual meeting with Vocational Training Centers (KEK) on Friday, September 18, 2026. The event took place at Ktima Kousioumi in Nicosia, providing a platform for dialogue on the future of professional training and organizational developments.

Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Marinos Mousiouttas, opened the event by emphasizing the vital role of continuous skill development for national productivity and social cohesion. He highlighted how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are rapidly transforming the labor market, necessitating constant adaptation from the workforce. The Chairman of the AnAD Board, Dr. Constantinos N. Fellas, underscored the necessity of open communication between the authority and training providers to effectively navigate the current era of rapid technological and economic change.

The meeting focused on revisions to existing training schemes and identified new challenges facing the vocational education sector. By fostering collaboration between regulatory authorities and independent training centers, the meeting aimed to ensure the labor force remains competitive and adequately prepared for future market demands.
