PAOK players Taha Ali and Jiri Pavlenka to undergo surgery for shoulder injuries
During the recent away match against Panetolikos in Agrinio, PAOK players Taha Ali and Jiri Pavlenka suffered shoulder dislocations. The incidents occurred during the match, requiring both players to be substituted immediately. Medical examinations conducted after the game confirmed that both athletes require surgical intervention to address the injuries.
The recovery period is estimated to be between three and four months, depending on the progress of their rehabilitation. Taha Ali, who had previously dealt with a shoulder issue in the same area during the summer European qualifiers, will remain in Thessaloniki to undergo treatment and will not join the Swedish national team. Additionally, Elustondo, who was also substituted during the match due to a collision with Pavlenka, is undergoing medical checks for a rib injury, though initial reports suggest his condition is not severe.
PAOK is currently finalizing the schedule and locations for the required surgeries. These injuries come as a significant blow to the team, as the club has seen a total of five players sidelined within a single weekend, further complicating their roster management for the upcoming fixtures.
