Journalist Petros Kousoulos reveals visit to controversial clinic involved in death of George Mazonakis

Journalist Petros Kousoulos, host of the ANT1 show "Apokalypsis," recently revealed that he had personally visited the controversial medical clinic located at 11 Karneadou Street in Kolonaki. This facility is currently the focal point of a criminal investigation following the death of George Mazonakis on September 9, 2026. The two doctors associated with the clinic, Ioanna Gaka and Ilias Theodoropoulos, are currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.

Kousoulos explained that he visited the office in June 2026 seeking medical advice regarding a second autoimmune condition. Following the news of the tragedy, he expressed frustration over what he described as a "theater of the absurd" surrounding the case, criticizing politicians and institutional officials for allegedly feigning ignorance about the clinic's existence and operations. He emphasized his trust in the Greek justice system to uncover the truth regarding the circumstances of Mazonakis's death.

The case remains under judicial investigation. While the authorities continue to probe the activities conducted at the Karneadou Street location, Kousoulos stated that he chose to come forward with his personal experience to foster transparency and address the hypocrisy he perceives from public figures who previously claimed they were unaware of the facility.
