Yiorkadjis proposal to parliament for the establishment of an independent Water Authority

Nicosia District Organization President Constantinos Yiorkadjis proposed the establishment of an independent Water Authority to the parliamentary Agriculture Committee on Tuesday. He argued that current water management responsibilities are scattered across ministries and need consolidation. Additionally, the proposal calls for the Water Development Department to deliver water directly to district storage tanks to prevent unnecessary maintenance costs and financial burdens on local organizations.
