Art exhibition at Larnaca Airport raises childhood cancer awareness

On September 21, 2026, the exhibition "With a Golden Ribbon" was officially inaugurated at Larnaca Airport by the Cypriot Minister of Health, Neofytos Charalambidis. This initiative is part of the "Golden September" campaign, which serves as a month dedicated to increasing global awareness regarding childhood cancer. The project was organized by the Pancyprian Association of Parents and Friends of the Pediatric Oncology Unit and the "Mikroi Iroes" (Small Heroes) Foundation, in collaboration with Hermes Airports.

The exhibition features artworks created by children, which are now on display for thousands of travelers passing through the airport daily. By utilizing the golden ribbon, the internationally recognized symbol for childhood cancer, the event aims to broadcast messages of strength, optimism, and hope. This creative space serves to foster community solidarity and support for young patients currently battling the disease, ensuring their voices and artistic efforts reach an international audience.
