Charis Georgiou to represent Cyprus at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Thirteen-year-old Charis Georgiou has been selected to represent Cyprus at the 24th Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is set to take place in Malta. The Cypriot entry, titled "WHO I CAN BE," has already been recorded, and filming for the official music video is complete.

The track was composed by a collaborative team including Laurell Barker, Anna-Klara Folin, Nathalie Brydolf, Victoria Chalkiti, and Thomas Stengaard. The music video, directed by Bodega, aims to present a modern and dynamic visual identity. According to the official announcement from the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC), the song conveys themes of freedom, self-confidence, and personal growth, encouraging children to dream without fear or restriction.

With the production phase concluded, the Cypriot delegation has officially entered the final stage of preparations for the international competition. The entry marks a significant effort by the national broadcaster to highlight young talent on the European stage, as the team shifts focus toward the upcoming live event in Malta.
