Cyprus announces entry for Junior Eurovision 2026

Thirteen-year-old Charis Georgiou has been selected to represent Cyprus at the 24th Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Malta on October 24, 2026. The official song, titled "Who I Can Be," was presented by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) on September 24, 2026, through its main news bulletin, official programs, and the contest's official YouTube channel.

The track was written by a creative team including Laurell Barker, Anna-Klara Folin, Nathalie Brydolf, Victoria Chalkiti, and Thomas Stengaard, with Stengaard also handling production, mixing, and mastering. The music video, which contributes to the entry's dynamic identity, was directed by Bodega. The song conveys a message of self-confidence, freedom, and the importance of allowing children to pursue their own paths without societal restrictions or fears.

Following the successful completion of the recording and filming of the music video, the Cypriot delegation is currently in the final stages of preparation. The event will be broadcast live from Malta on October 24, 2026, at 22:00, with viewers in Cyprus able to watch it on CyBC1 and the official broadcaster website.
