Cyprus prepares for Junior Eurovision 2026 with entry by Charis Georgiou

Cyprus has completed the recording and music video production for its entry in the 24th Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is scheduled to take place in Malta. The island nation will be represented by 13-year-old Charis Georgiou with the song titled "Who I Can Be".

The song was composed by an international team including Laurell Barker, Anna-Klara Folin, Nathalie Brydolf, Victoria Chalkitis, and Thomas Stengaard. The music video, directed by the filmmaker Bodega, aims to present a modern and dynamic visual identity for the entry. The song's theme focuses on messages of freedom, self-confidence, and the empowerment of children to discover their own voices without societal constraints or fears.

Charis Georgiou is a student at the Platinum Performing Arts school, where he receives training in singing and acting. The completion of these production phases marks the official commencement of the final preparation stage for the Cypriot delegation ahead of the international competition in Malta.
