Escalating cross-border strikes intensify conflict between Russia and Ukraine

Russian forces launched widespread attacks across ten Ukrainian regions on the night of September 21, 2026, causing significant destruction in Zaporizhzhia, including an apartment complex, a shopping center, and a university building. While five people were injured in Zaporizhzhia, another strike in the Kharkiv region resulted in one death. Russian military reports confirmed operations against logistics centers in the Kyiv region and port infrastructure in Odesa and Izmail.
