Petrolina donates specialized firefighting equipment to the Cyprus Fire Service

On September 22, 2026, the company Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd announced the launch of the "Together for Firefighting" program aimed at enhancing fire prevention and emergency response in Cyprus. The initiative focuses on supporting the Cyprus Fire Service and five volunteer groups registered with the service to better protect the natural environment.

As part of the program, Petrolina donated 12 high-performance VARIO Carbon 13 foam extinguishing systems. The total value of this equipment exceeds €70,000. These portable systems are specifically designed for rapid intervention, allowing firefighters to extinguish fires effectively while utilizing minimal water resources. The equipment was officially presented during a press conference held at the company's headquarters in Larnaca.

The event was attended by Petrolina's Executive CEO Dinos Lefkaritis and Executive Consultant Georgia Lefkaritis, alongside the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Costas Fytiris, and the Chief Fire Officer. This donation represents a strengthening of the long-standing collaboration between the private sector and state authorities in managing wildfire risks across the region.
