Limassol Wine Festival to take place from September 26 to October 4

The 2026 Limassol Wine Festival is scheduled to take place from September 26 to October 4 in the Limassol Public Garden. The official opening ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 8:00 PM under the Vrakas statue, attended by Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Evi Tsolaki. The nine-day event features a diverse program including 14 concerts, traditional music, folklore performances, and theatrical acts, alongside dedicated areas for children and local wine tastings.

To accommodate the expected thousands of visitors, the Limassol municipality has implemented traffic regulations between 6:00 PM and midnight throughout the festival period. Lordou Vyronos Street will become one-way (northbound towards Anastasi Sioukri), while Olympiou Street will be closed to traffic. These measures are coordinated with local police to ensure emergency access, with non-compliance subject to municipal penalties. The festival extends beyond the town center to include events in local wine-producing villages, celebrating traditional winemaking techniques and local products like Commandaria.
