Scheduled water supply suspension in Athienou for September 25

The Larnaca District Local Government Organisation (DLGO) has announced a scheduled water supply interruption in the core of the Athienou municipal district on Friday, September 25, 2026. The water cut will take effect from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to facilitate essential upgrades to the water supply network.

These technical works are being conducted as part of the ongoing Churches Square regeneration project. The DLGO confirmed that consumers located within the industrial area of Athienou will remain unaffected by this maintenance.

Residents in the affected area are advised to monitor their water usage carefully and rely on supplies stored in private residential tanks during the seven-and-a-half-hour outage. The organization has apologized to the public for the anticipated inconvenience caused by these improvement efforts.
