Cyprus Road Races Grand Prix to take place in Amathus on September 27

On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the Municipality of Amathus in the Limassol district will host the fourth stage of the Cyprus Road Races Grand Prix. The event features races of 10km and 5km for adults, as well as a 1km Metro Kids Race for children and families. Starting at 8:00 a.m. in front of the KEAN factory, the competition is co-organized by KOEAS, the Cyprus Police, and the National Guard.

The entire series is dedicated to the fight against cancer. All net proceeds from the children's event will be donated to the Nicolas Zoe Foundation to support research and treatment programs for childhood cancer. Organizers emphasize that the event aims to promote physical and mental health across all age groups through public participation in sports.

Due to the event, temporary road closures are scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Traffic will be diverted from the northern and southern lanes of the Limassol coastal road, specifically between the intersections of Kosta Pitsillidi, Andreas Syngrou, and Ariadnis streets. The public is advised to follow traffic signs and instructions from police officers on duty to ensure safe traffic flow.
