Minister of Agriculture visits the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organization

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Christos Senekis, visited the headquarters of the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organization (CAPO) in Nicosia. During the meeting, Minister Senekis emphasized the central role of the agency in executing the government's agricultural policy and ensuring the timely distribution of financial resources to producers.

Minister Senekis praised the agency as a key pillar for implementation, noting that while the ministry defines the strategy and secures the funding, the organization is responsible for transforming these policies into practical support. The Commissioner for Agricultural Payments, Andreas Kyprianou, welcomed the new Minister and expressed commitment to continued professional cooperation between the ministry and the agency to foster the growth of the primary sector.
