Presidential Palace to open for public tours starting October 2026

The Presidential Palace of Cyprus is launching a new program titled 'Presidential Palace Open to Citizens,' which grants the public access to its premises for organized tours. This initiative, spearheaded by First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulides, aims to provide citizens with access to a site of significant institutional and symbolic importance while showcasing Cyprus's cultural heritage. The pilot phase of the program is scheduled to begin on October 3, 2026, coinciding with the anniversary of the country's Independence.

Visitors will be able to view the exhibition titled 'Cyprus: The World, the Place, the Word, the Matter,' which features art and archaeological artifacts. The collection includes works by foundational Cypriot artists such as Adamantios Diamantis, Pol Georgiou, Telemachos Kanthos, and Michael Kashialos, alongside pieces by contemporary creators. These works are curated from the Presidential Palace collection, the State Collection, the Leventis Gallery, and private family collections of the artists.
