Coroner report released regarding death of Hayden Panettiere

American actress Hayden Panettiere, known for her roles in "Nashville" and "Heroes," died at the age of 36 following an overdose, according to the Greenville County Coroner's office in South Carolina. She was found unresponsive on August 16 in a temporary residence where she was staying with her on-and-off boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson. Responding personnel attempted resuscitation using CPR and Narcan, but the actress could not be saved. Toxicology reports confirmed a lethal combination of fentanyl, its chemical byproduct, alprazolam, a muscle relaxant, and antidepressants.

Evidence gathered at the scene included pills, white powder, and a straw, with additional powder discovered in her suitcase. Reports indicate that Panettiere had recently completed a stint at a rehabilitation facility in Malibu just weeks before the incident. One of the men present at the apartment noted that he had administered Narcan to her in the past. The Greenville Police Department and the coroner’s office continue to treat the death as an active, complex investigation, with a representative for the family confirming that official inquiries remain ongoing.
