A forest fire occurred in the Mersinouthkia area of the Androlikou community in the Paphos district on Wednesday evening, September 23, 2026. The incident began at 22:30, triggering an immediate response from local authorities.

The Department of Forests of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment successfully brought the fire under full control by 22:50. The firefighting operation involved two personnel from the Department of Forests utilizing one fire engine. The blaze burned a total area of one decare containing low wild vegetation.
