Cyprus and Malta business leaders meet to strengthen economic ties

On September 24, 2026, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) hosted the Cyprus–Malta Business Forum in Nicosia. The event, which included B2B meetings, was organized in collaboration with The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and the Cyprus–Malta Business Association, with the participation of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Kyriacos Iordanou.

The initiative aims to deepen commercial ties and foster joint investment opportunities between the two EU island nations. Companies discussed potential cooperation across various sectors, including technology, financial services, manufacturing, and cybersecurity. A presentation was also delivered by Invest Cyprus to highlight investment benefits.

Keve president Stavros Stavrou emphasized the longstanding economic relationship between the two countries, noting their shared focus on entrepreneurship, service-oriented economies, and highly internationalized business sectors. This forum serves as part of Keve’s broader strategy to bolster Cyprus’ international business footprint and assist domestic companies in expanding into foreign markets. While no specific joint ventures were announced, the event provided a formal platform for ongoing dialogue and future strategic cooperation between Cypriot and Maltese enterprises.
