CIES Football Observatory releases market value rankings for Cypriot league players

On September 23, 2026, the CIES Football Observatory published a study assessing the market values of football players across 70 leagues globally, including the Cypriot league. The evaluation model utilizes various parameters, such as individual performance, age, position, contract duration, and league competitiveness to estimate player worth.

Panagiotis Andreou, a 20-year-old midfielder for Omonia, holds the highest estimated value in the league, appraised at approximately 6.5 million euros, with a valuation range between 6.0 and 7.0 million euros. His contract with Omonia runs through 2029. Following him are Charalambos Charalambous of Aris Limassol, valued between 4.1 and 4.8 million euros, and Vlad Dragomir of Pafos FC, valued between 3.6 and 4.2 million euros. Other notable entries include Ivano Pankov from AEK Larnaca and Josef Kvinda from Apollon, both estimated between 1.3 and 1.5 million euros.

This study highlights the current market hierarchy among top Cypriot clubs, with Omonia, Pafos, and Aris Limassol showing the strongest representation in the top ten rankings.
