Cyprus Forum 2026 to address key political and societal challenges

Cyprus Forum 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 28 to 30 at The Landmark Nicosia. Organized by the non-profit organization Oxygen for Democracy, the three-day event will gather a diverse group of participants, including diplomats, academics, business leaders, and representatives from civil society, to discuss current political, economic, and social challenges facing Cyprus and Europe.

The event program features more than 220 speakers and 40 sessions, panel discussions, and side events. Key themes for this year’s forum include democratic and institutional resilience, transparency, and sustainable development. Other topics on the agenda range from geopolitics, security, and the economy to technology, innovation, education, and housing. President Nikos Christodoulides, House of Representatives President Annita Demetriou, and several government ministers, including Costas Fytiris and Athena Michaelidou, are expected to attend the proceedings.

As an annual platform for public dialogue, the forum aims to foster debate on systemic issues affecting the functioning of institutions and the overall competitiveness of the economy. By bringing together both local and international stakeholders, the organizers seek to address pressing concerns such as misinformation and youth participation, setting the stage for future policy discussions.
