ELAM lawmaker Polyvios Anogyratiotis moves to new parliamentary committee

On September 24, 2026, the House of Representatives of Cyprus announced a reshuffle within its parliamentary committees. Presiding Officer Zacharias Koulias informed the plenary session that, following a formal recommendation from the ELAM party, lawmaker Polys Anogyratiotis would be reassigned to a different committee.

Under the new decision, Anogyratiotis is removed from the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women. Instead, he has been appointed as a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Institutions, Merit and the Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman). The decision was ratified by the Selection Committee during its session held on the same day.
