Anorthosis squad rotation and injury updates during international break
Four rounds into the new season, Anorthosis manager Nestor El Maestro has implemented a significant rotation policy, utilizing 20 different players. Eighteen of these athletes have started at least one match, while only Sosa and Evagoras Charalambous have been limited to substitute appearances. A core group of four players—Kallstrom, Kiko, Aboagye, and Chrysostomou—started in all four matches, with Kallstrom and Kiko playing every minute of the campaign thus far. An additional five players, including Kiss, Da Cruz, Sergiou, Tosic, and Furtado, have appeared in the starting lineup three times.
Regarding player fitness, the club has provided positive updates on Tosic, who is expected to rejoin the team training program shortly. Meanwhile, Swedish defender Emil Bergstrom is currently undergoing rehabilitation during the three-week international break. He is expected to be available for selection for the upcoming match against Pafos, scheduled for October 11. As the team prepares for the return of league action, several other squad members, including Artymatas, Juliou, Charalambous, Avraam, and Kalogirou, are currently fulfilling national team obligations.
