Aradippou municipality and Larnaca EOA coordinate flood protection measures

The Municipality of Aradippou and the District Self-Government Organization (EOA) of Larnaca have announced a coordinated initiative to address damages caused by heavy rainfall that occurred on September 18. Following a high-level meeting held on September 25, 2026, authorities conducted a detailed evaluation of areas affected by water accumulation and overflow to prevent future risks.

As part of these efforts, the EOA of Larnaca has launched a public tender worth 300,000 euros. This funding is allocated for the study and design of comprehensive flood protection infrastructure within the residential zones of the municipality. The Networks Sector of the EOA, in collaboration with local municipal services, is currently proceeding with further technical assessments to determine necessary interventions and long-term mitigation strategies.
