Omonia Nicosia signs Georgios Viktoros on loan from Nea Salamina

Omonia Nicosia has reached an agreement to acquire 21-year-old central defender Georgios Viktoros from Nea Salamina on a loan deal. The contract includes a purchase option to be exercised at the end of the current season. This move comes as Omonia seeks to reinforce its defensive line following the departure of Panagiotou to Utrecht and the failure to sign a more experienced defender during the primary transfer window.

The 1.90-meter tall defender is expected to join the squad immediately, providing an additional tactical option for Henning Berg and Simos Tarapoulouzis. Viktoros is considered an ideal choice as he occupies a B-list roster spot and is already familiar with the domestic league, having recorded four appearances for Nea Salamina this season. The deal was finalized rapidly as the Cypriot transfer window remains open until September 30.
