Omonia Nicosia signs Giorgos Viktoros on loan

Omonia Nicosia has reached an agreement with Nea Salamina to acquire 21-year-old central defender Giorgos Viktoros on a loan deal. The agreement includes a purchase option at the end of the current season. This move comes as the club sought to strengthen its defensive line following the departure of Nikolas Panagiotou to Utrecht, having failed to secure a more experienced alternative earlier in the window.

Viktoros, who stands 1.90 meters tall, has already recorded four appearances for Nea Salamina this season. The deal was finalized under the guidance of manager Henning Berg and Simos Tarapoulouzis, as the domestic transfer window remains open until September 30. The defender, who previously played for Anorthosis' academy, has made 49 appearances for Nea Salamina since 2019 and will now join a defensive rotation that includes Coulibaly, Satka, and Stefan Simic.
