Documentary NAZA detailing IDF strike calculations to be screened in Cyprus

The documentary titled 'NAZA', directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, is set to premiere in Cyprus at the Pantheon Theatre in Nicosia this November. Following a successful debut at the 83rd Venice Film Festival, where it received the Special Jury Prize and a 25-minute standing ovation, the 80-minute film will be distributed internationally across 56 countries. European screenings are scheduled to commence on October 9, covering nations including Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, Denmark, and Norway.

The film, produced in collaboration with MK2 Films, investigates the military acronym 'Nezek Agavi' (collateral damage), which refers to the number of civilians expected to perish in airstrikes. Based on ongoing reports, the production features interviews with 24 Israeli intelligence officers, soldiers, and whistleblowers. The documentary was filmed clandestinely on rooftops in Tel Aviv during the current Gaza conflict. Following its theatrical run, the producers intend to make the documentary available for free viewing on the Guardian's website.
