Ten-year-old girl injured in cafe shooting in Agios Panteleimonas

On the night of Friday, September 26, 2026, a shooting occurred at the Amora cafe located on Agorakritou Street 32 in the Agios Panteleimonas area. At approximately 23:50, four unidentified assailants in a vehicle opened fire on the storefront. Inside the premises at the time were ten patrons, all of whom were foreign nationals.

The attack resulted in a 10-year-old girl, the daughter of the cafe's owner and of Albanian descent, sustaining a gunshot wound to her left calf. Her mother transported the child to the Children's Hospital for treatment, where her injuries were reportedly characterized as minor. Authorities noted that a submachine gun was used during the attack.

Following the incident, police discovered the vehicle used by the assailants burned in the Aspropyrgos area. Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the matter and are currently searching for the four suspects involved in the shooting. No motive for the attack has been publicly confirmed, and investigations into the perpetrators' whereabouts are ongoing.
