Two separate traffic accidents occur in Limassol

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, two separate traffic incidents caused significant disruption in Limassol. The first accident occurred early in the afternoon on the Limassol-Nicosia motorway near Mesa Geitonia, where a bus carrying nine passengers collided with three other vehicles. No injuries were reported, but the incident led to the temporary closure of the motorway, with traffic diverted through the Mesa Geitonia exit until the road was reopened after 15:10.

Later that afternoon, a second, unrelated accident occurred near the Polemidia roundabout heading toward Agia Fyla.
