Cyprus football association elects new board members and registers three clubs

On the morning of September 26, 2026, the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) held an extraordinary general assembly via an online session to address governance and membership updates. The assembly officially approved three new members to the CFA Board of Directors: Michalis Iordanous representing ALS Omonia 29M, Elenios Kouklis from Nea Salamina, and Kostas Chatzistyllis representing Karmiotissa FC.

In addition to the board appointments, the assembly approved the registration of three new football clubs into the association's member registry. These clubs, AEK Kellion, Alki 1948 Larnaca, and Xylophagou F.C., are now cleared to participate in the upcoming Third Division championship. Following the meeting, Karmiotissa FC released an official statement expressing satisfaction with the appointment of Kostas Chatzistyllis, highlighting that his representation on the board carries significant responsibility for the future progress and cooperation within the Cypriot football community.
