Cyprus Third Division football season kicks off

The 2026-27 Cyprus Third Division football championship officially commenced on September 26, 2026. The opening round featured six matches played on Saturday, while the final game between P.O. Achyronas/Onisilos and Omonia Pseuda is scheduled for Sunday, September 27. The competition marks the start of a new season involving several local clubs across the country.

Saturday's match results saw victory for Aspis Pylas, who defeated THOI Lakatamias 3-2, Xylofagou FC, who won 3-2 against Alki Larnacas, and Ethnikos Assias, who secured a 2-1 win over Othellos Athienou. Additionally, P.O. Ormideias beat AEN Agiou Georgiou 2-1, AEK Kellion defeated Kedros Agias Marinas 1-0, and Leivadia FC won 0-2 against Anorthosis Mouttagiakas. Ethnikos Latsion was awarded three points via a walkover after the withdrawal of AEZ from the Cyprus Football Association leagues. Achyronas/Onisilos is also slated to receive three points from the same club.

The second round of the tournament is set to begin on Saturday, October 3, featuring matchups including Leivadia FC against AEN Agiou Georgiou and Ethnikos Assias versus AEK Kellion. The league continues as teams compete for standing in the newly inaugurated season.
