PAOK moves to sign Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas

Following their recent advancement to the Stoiximan Super Cup final after a victory over Panathinaikos, PAOK Thessaloniki is reportedly finalizing a deal to sign 36-year-old Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas. This potential transfer is intended to strengthen the team's frontcourt for the current season.

Motiejunas brings significant experience, having played four seasons in the NBA with the Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans, and San Antonio Spurs. Over the last five years, he returned to Europe, competing for Monaco from 2021 to 2025 and most recently for Crvena Zvezda. During his 2025-2026 tenure with the Serbian club, he recorded an average of 7.3 points and 1.8 rebounds over 27 appearances, playing approximately 12.5 minutes per game.

While Cyprus Times reports that a formal agreement has already been reached, Goal News Cy suggests that negotiations are at an advanced stage, leaving the final decision to the PAOK leadership. The signing would serve as a major reinforcement for the Thessaloniki side as they prepare for the remainder of their competitive campaign.
