Two separate fire incidents reported in Larnaca within 48 hours

Two distinct fire incidents occurred in Larnaca over a two-day period. On Monday, September 28, at 2:18 a.m., a fire broke out at a car rental office. The blaze destroyed an electric bicycle and personal items belonging to the 52-year-old owner, while causing unknown damage to three parked vehicles. Authorities searched the building, which includes upper-floor apartments, and confirmed no one was trapped. Separately, on the afternoon of Monday, September 28, at 4:57 p.m., a second fire occurred at a car repair shop in Larnaca. This incident was triggered by a fuel ignition during vehicle maintenance work. Firefighters contained the blaze by 5:15 p.m. One person sustained minor burns and was transported to the Larnaca General Hospital for treatment. The fire caused extensive damage to one vehicle and minor damage to two others.
