Second annual Authentically Cypriot festival held in Engomi

The second annual Authentically Cypriot Festival took place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Alphamega supermarket premises in Engomi. The event served as a celebration of the island’s cultural identity, successfully bringing together various generations to experience local heritage.

Attendees explored traditional customs, music, and crafts while sampling local delicacies including Cypriot coffee, rose cordial, palouze, trachana, and halloumi. The culinary experience was completed with offerings of souvla and slow-roasted kleftiko. The festival aimed to evoke cultural memories for older generations and serve as an introduction to traditional Cypriot values and hospitality for younger visitors.

This event follows the success of the inaugural edition, continuing the project’s mission to preserve and promote local traditions. Organizers transformed the outdoor area of the venue into a communal space designed to highlight the authentic lifestyle and shared values of Cyprus.
