Volt Cyprus announces candidates for upcoming electoral congress

The political party Volt Cyprus has officially announced its list of candidates for the upcoming electoral congress, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The event will be held at the Discovery Hall of the University of Nicosia to finalize internal leadership appointments and define the party's future strategic direction.

Key positions up for election include the role of co-president, with candidates Lysia Dimitriou, Natasa Ioannou, Pieros Karoullas, and Ioannis Tirkidis vying for the post. For the vice-presidency, Alexandros Apostolides and Frixos Vryonides are competing, while Rodoula Demitriadou has already been elected to a vice-presidential seat unopposed. Additionally, seventeen members have been nominated for positions within the Political Council, including Antonis Alexopoulos, Sofia Vasiliou, Margarita Georgiadou, and others.

This congress serves as a crucial organizational step for the party to strengthen its operational structure and formalize its leadership. The Electoral Committee overseen the nomination process and will manage the proceedings during the October gathering.
